D01) Branding (Basics)

Branding is one of the most important aspects of any business, large or small, retail or B2B. An effective brand strategy gives a major edge in increasingly competitive markets. But what exactly does "branding" mean?

Class Outline

We will learn how to link that brand to your company's core values, and how to launch the brand into the marketplace to get it working for you. Whether you have an existing brand or you're starting from scratch to create a new one, we will look at how to build brand equity. Strong, effective brands give you a competitive advantage in the marketplace and help you make your way through market competition.

Like marketing, branding is an exciting career field of its own. You should be able to begin to develop the skills to create successful and authentic brands. To help you practice these tools, we will use a case study. You may use the same or your own.
