Gina Giambattista Appointed Associate Dean for Administration at VCUarts Qatar

VCUarts Qatar is delighted to announce the appointment of Gina Giambattista as Associate Dean for Administration, effective October 1.

In her position, Gina will provide direction, advice and support for the administrative management of VCUarts Qatar, with oversight of Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Safety and Facilities, and the Bookstore.

Reporting to Dean Amir Berbić, she will lead in the development of policies and procedures that improve institutional effectiveness, working with all relevant offices at VCUarts Qatar, on the main campus in Richmond, and with Qatar Foundation.

With over 25 years of experience in communications, management, and higher education, Gina has demonstrated effectiveness in facilitating cultural change in complex organizational settings.

Most recently, Gina has served as the Director of the Office of the Assemblies at Cornell University. Reporting to the Vice President of University Relations, she managed daily and long-term operations of the Assemblies, constituent bodies of staff and students that advise the university’s administration on policies. She was a consultant to the university’s upper administration on issues related to shared governance and demonstrated success in facilitating large-scale campus conversations on matters of campus climate.
