Biography 

Noor Aloukati worked as a Writing Center Tutor in Georgetown University in Qatar, where she earned her level 1 CRLA Tutor Training Certification. Following her graduation, she became a Writing Center Instructor at VCUArts Qatar. With a passion for creative writing and storytelling, Noor uses examples from cinema and literature in her appointments as a way to explain key concepts within an academic paper, like thesis statements and writing for an audience.

Noor has also participated in the organization of events that bring writing and art together, such as the ‘A Quiet Afternoon to Write’ and ‘Paint for an Imaginary Painter’ events. She hopes to continue demonstrating the relationship between writing, art and storytelling in her events and work with students.
