2010--2011

The Interior Design students went on a field study trip to Seoul, Korea with 23 students and 5 faculty chaperones; Seoul was named the World Design Capital of 2010, a UNESCO designation; we visited special exhibitions that were a part of that, plus various museums, architecture and design firms, a cultural village, and Hongik University’s MFA design program. Field study trip to Seoul, Korea – 30 September to 8 October; 23 students; chaperones were 4 ID faculty (Li Han, Kevin Woolley, Liam Colquhoun, Carolyn Freeman) and Tom Modeen, MFA faculty. Seoul was named the World Design Capital of 2010, a UNESCO designation, so we were able to visit special exhibitions that were a part of that, as well as museums, architecture and design firms, a cultural village, and Hongik University’s masters in design program.
