Math Story: Tomorrow was the first day of Eid and Aliya could not wait to celebrate with her family. She had just bought several outfits for the days ahead but had not yet chosen what she would wear for the first day of festivities. She decided she would sleep on it and figure out what to wear in the morning. Unfortunately, Aliya woke up late the next day. Her family would be leaving in 5 minutes, but she had not yet decided what to wear. She had to make the right choice considering she was going to see all the people she loved the most today. She looked in her closet to find the 3 new skirts and the 4 new shirts she had recently bought. There was a black skirt, a red skirt, and a green skirt. The shirts were white, pink, yellow, and blue. Maybe she should wear a black skirt and a yellow top? Or maybe the red skirt and white top?

How many different outfits could she wear today? How could she figure out the number of possible outfits quickly?
