Temporary Administrative Assistant (non-benefited)



This is an open call for a Temporary Administrative Assistant to cover general office administration duties for a short-term duration (not exceeding 3 months). Applications received through this open call will be kept in our application pool for an indefinite duration and applicants will be contacted when a temporary position becomes available. This position is temporary in nature and is paid on an hourly basis without any additional allowances or benefits. In line with the State of Qatar hiring guidelines, applicants must hold a valid Qatar residence permit (Qatar ID) to be considered for this position.

Major Activities & Essential Functions

  • Answers and directs phone calls, and organizes and schedules appointments
  • Plans meetings and takes detailed minutes, as well as writes and distributes emails, correspondence memos, letters, and forms
  • Assists in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports, and develops and maintains a filing system
  • Updates and maintains office policies and procedures, as well as, Orders office supplies and researches new deals and suppliers
  • Books travel arrangements, and submits and reconcile expense reports
  • Provides general support to visitors, and Acts as the point of contact for internal and external clients
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor, including related administrative tasks for the department.


  • Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant, or Office Admin Assistant
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor's Degree, OR any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Skills & Experience

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in team settings and provide cross-functional support.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in English. Knowledge of Arabic is preferred.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to multitask, and work to tight deadlines.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be in a customer service-oriented environment.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Result-driven.
