From Idea to Startup Using AI Tools

About this Class

This hands-on workshop guides participants through the process of transforming their creative projects into entrepreneurial ventures using artificial intelligence tools. Starting with an introduction to AI and its real-world applications, Participants will explore how innovation can address challenges aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Participants will then select specific problems, brainstorm creative solutions, and use AI tools to bring their ideas to life — developing logos, websites or mobile app prototypes, photos and videos for social media content, and even AI-generated advertisements and presentations.

The workshop concludes with a session on effective communication and pitching, where participants will learn how to deliver strong, concise, and engaging elevator pitches to present their entrepreneurial ideas confidently in front of possible investors or institutions.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand how AI can be used to support entrepreneurship and innovation
  • Identify real-world problems related to the SDGs and propose AI-driven solutions
  • Use AI tools to design logos, websites, and social media content efficiently
  • Develop marketing materials (photos, videos, and ads) using AI platforms
  • Learn how to structure and deliver an effective elevator pitch

Mohammed Al-Qassabi

Mohammed Al-Qassabi is a Qatari inventor and cybersecurity engineer specializing in artificial intelligence and innovation. He serves as the Head of the Robotics and AI Department at Qatar Scientific Club and works with the Data Science and Cybersecurity team at QatarEnergy. Mohammed holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar and is currently pursuing a master’s in Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity at the University of Doha for Science and Technology.

He has delivered workshops on AI, technology, and entrepreneurship at leading institutions including CMU-Q, QU, and UDST, and is the inventor of OPAS—ranked among the top five inventions globally and top three in Stars of Science Season 13.
