The Student Life and Engagement Team oversees all aspects of student life on campus, ensuring students have the resources and support they need to thrive academically and socially by developing and implementing programs and services that enhance the overall student experience. 

The Student Life and Engagement Team is located in the Student Life Suite in Room 153.

At VCUarts Qatar, we are dedicated to providing a diverse range of activities that cater to the interests and needs of our students. We aim to create opportunities for students to get involved, develop new skills, and build relationships in the community. Whether you are interested in expanding your circle in the arts, getting fit through sports, community service, or leadership development, we have something for everyone. Our student-run organizations and clubs are an excellent way to get involved and make a difference in your school and community.

Our sports teams offer students the chance to compete and collaborate with their peers. Our teams are led by knowledgeable coaches and compete against other schools in the area.

For those interested in the arts, our talented students can showcase their skills and perform in various settings and exhibitions, both on and off campus. 

Service learning and community engagement is an essential part of VCUarts Qatar’s culture. We offer a range of opportunities for students to give back to their community, including volunteer work at local organizations, charity events, and community service projects. Leadership opportunities are also an essential part of our student activities program. Our Student Government allows students to take on leadership roles and make a difference in their schools. We also offer a range of leadership workshops and training programs to help students develop their skills and gain confidence.

Education City Student Life

Education City offers a vibrant student life with various initiatives designed to support students’ personal and professional growth. VCUarts Qatar’s commitment to multiversity programs aims to promote cultural understanding and celebrate the diversity of its student body. This is achieved through various events, such as cultural fairs, orientation programs, and guest speaker series that showcase the experiences and perspectives of students from different backgrounds.

Student Health Insurance and Hamad Medical Cards

All students are encouraged to have a current Hamad Medical Card. Students under family sponsorship can obtain a Hamad Medical Card through their family at their local Primary Health Care Clinic (PHCC). International students (who are not family sponsored in Qatar) are required to apply for a Hamad Health Card. This card provides access to services at any of the Hamad Medical Corporation’s (government medical facility) healthcare facilities or hospitals.
