Alumni Newsletter

The Alumni Relations Office is keen to provide alumni with job opportunities and encourage them to be involved in the art and design community. The Alumni Newsletter goes out twice a month, promoting job vacancies, competitions, and art and design happenings. In 2022-23, the newsletter promoted 64 jobs, 17 professional development opportunities, 18 competitions, and 19 art and design happenings.

Career Doorway Program

“Career Doorway” is a professional development initiative aimed at supporting recent graduates as they begin their career journeys. During this program, representatives from diverse organizations come together to provide insights into their respective industries and company backgrounds to alumni and senior students. Each speaker is allotted a 20-minute presentation slot to delve into their work, methodologies, required skill sets, and potential job openings, which may include internships for new graduate designers. Attendees also have the chance to submit their resumes and portfolios to the employers for potential employment opportunities. Additionally, a career coach is often present at the event to assist alumni in their career planning.

Makers Market Program

“The Makers Market” is a two-day program tailored for alumni entrepreneurs looking to showcase and market their products or services. In partnership with the QF Alumni Office, the Alumni Relations Office aligns this annual event with the Qatar Foundation Job Fair, offering a shared platform on the same day and at the same time.
