Sometimes students choose to take a break from their studies at VCUarts Qatar. For those interested in returning, please first determine which of the following applies to you. 

  • Have you recently withdrawn, or have you been out for only one term? If so, please contact Greet Provoost, Assistant Dean for Enrollment & Registration Services directly at [email protected]
  • Have you been out for two or more consecutive terms? If so, please continue reading below.

Returning Students Applying for Re-Admission

  • Deadline for returning students applying for re-admission for Fall term is January 15.
  • Deadline for returning students applying for re-admission for Spring term is November 15. 
  • Late applications may be considered based on space availability. 
  • Re-admission is not guaranteed. 
  • Questions related to re-admission eligibility, and current academic and/or financial standing should be directed to the Office of Enrollment & Registration Services: [email protected]

  • To apply for re-admission, please complete this Re-admissions Application Form and email the completed document to [email protected] with the following subject line: “Re-Admissions Application- Your V#, Last name, First Name”

Check-list items for Re-Admission

  • Completed Re-admissions Application Form
  • Essay describing circumstances related to your break from VCUarts Qatar (optional)
  • Updated official university transcripts, listing of coursework completed along with course descriptions, since leaving VCUarts Qatar, if any.
  • Transcripts issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by an official English language translation.
  • An in-person interview may be requested at the discretion of the faculty.
  • Art Portfolio with design work improvements and design work completed during the time away from VCUarts Qatar may be requested at the discretion of the faculty (for BFA only).
  • Updated English language proficiency scores.
    • This is applicable only to students who are reapplying after being academically suspended from VCUarts Qatar, and who were not enrolled at VCUarts Qatar during the past three years. 
  • International Credential Evaluation (of all higher education work completed at a non-US university outside of the USA).
  • An assessment of your academic credentials as compared to the US. This ensures that your academic credentials are properly recognized for admission and transfer credit.
  • The assessment report must contain a “course-by-course” evaluation of your higher education academic credentials (as opposed to a “document-by-document” assessment).
  • VCUarts Qatar strongly recommends the use of World Education Services (WES) for credential evaluations.
