Artists’ Book Display

Artists’ books are works of art that utilize some kind of form of the book. They are often published in small editions, and are sometimes one-of-a-kind art objects. At VCUarts Qatar, the Artists’ Book collection is developed to inspire students and faculty and to support their research and curriculum needs. Our priority is collecting works by regional artists, artists working in the MENA region and contemporary Arab artists, but we also collect works that are unique due to design, technique, tools, materials or perspective with the aim of adding diversity to the collection and inspiring the community!

While the VCUarts Qatar Artists’ Book Collection requires special housing and preservation within the Special Collections, the collection is catalogued and available for study and research.
