Riason Naidoo, Director of the South African National Gallery – The lecture focuses on modern and contemporary artists in South Africa with a particular reference to its Post Colonial and Apartheid context, the subject of a recent exhibition at the National Gallery of South Africa in Cape Town.
South African born Riason Naidoo is a curator, writer and artist. He is currently director of Art Collections for Iziko Museums of Cape Town responsible for the South African National Gallery and the Old Town House Museum. He has researched and curated internationally and published widely on South African art and society.
