Katara Art Center is pleased to present ‘Alternative Realities’ a group exhibition featuring works by five painting & printmaking senior students from Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar.
The artists engage in one form or another with the notion of reality and the question of how reality is constructed. From the mechanical, to the surreal, the exhibited works investigate the perception through the various cultural, historical and philosophical threads. Working across a range of media that originate from the locus of painting and printmaking, the artists also incorporate sculpture, photography and video.
Participating artists include: Roda Al Nassr, Hana Al Saadi, Sumam Azzam, Salma Hassan, Emelina Soares
Hours: Sunday to Thursday 10am – 9pm, Friday 2pm – 9pm.
