Design Road is a journey undertaken by international designers and creative professionals from various disciplines to exchange experiences with other creative people and innovators from different countries in the Middle East. DarOtakwin and Creative Dialogue Association, Spain jointly organizes this journey of inspiration from Europe.

About Design Road

Design Road consists of three main activities:

• Design workshops aimed to enrich the knowledge of local artists and designers.
• Seminars conducted by internationally renowned designers, open to general public in Qatar.
• An Exhibition showcasing the creative skills of the participants inspired by the knowledge and training provided during the 3-days Workshop.

The first Design Road in 2010 went through Damascus, Amman and Manama, where Spanish designers and artists shared their knowledge and design ideas with local professionals.

Recently, Dubai hosted Design Road, running seven workshops from December 1-5, 2011, at Tashkeel in Nad Al Sheba. All workshops took place in collaboration with the Elisava – Barcelona School of Design and Engineering, and the Kingston University London, with the support of the Spanish Ministry of Culture.
