Introduction to Portfolio Preparation – Fall 2011

VCUQ announces an eight weeks studio based intensive portfolio preparation program for high school students wishing to apply for art and design school.

Instruction is designed to build and improve observational drawing, color, surface and 3D work skills – all fundamental to the development of your own portfolio. All Classes will be taught by VCU Faculty.

Starting 16 October 2011

Section 1

• Instructor: Don Earley
• Sundays and Tuesdays 6 PM – 8 PM
• October 16 – December 13, 2011 – 16 classes, 2 hours, each

Starting 17 October 2011

Section 2

• Instructor: Jesse Payne
• Mondays, 4 PM – 8 PM
• October 17 – December 12, 2011 – 8 classes, 4 hours, each
• Room: 179

Starting 18 October 2011

Section 3

• Instructor: Muneera Spence
• Mondays and Wednesdays 5 PM – 7 PM
• October 18 – December 14, 2011 – 16 classes, 2 hours, each
• Room: 177

All classes are open to both women and men and unless otherwise noted are taught in English at the VCUQatar campus located within Education City, Doha.

Classes are US $330 (approximately 1200 QR) per section. Spaces are limited.

Terms and Conditions

• Seats are limited and can only be reserved with full payment
• Refunds can not be processed after the start of classes
• Refunds will incur a minimum $10 or 35QR fee
• All fees are donated to the VCUQatar scholarship fund. Fees are based on both instructor contact hours and materials.
