Kheit Competition – Qatar Brazil 2014

The National Museum of Qatar is proud to present Qatar’s international student fashion competition in partnership with Qatar Brazil 2014, Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, and the Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo.
Students from both Brazil and Qatar universities will research women’s and men’s wear from each country. Research will provide a strong narrative that reflects design criteria, philosophy, vision and values, and will include mood boards as well as sketch books. This research will be used as inspiration to design a final piece that incorporates heritage styles of both countries in a contemporary manner. Ten final pieces will be showcased in the exhibition to celebrate the cultural similarities and differences in fashion in each country.
