Job Description:

We are seeking creative and motivated VCU interns to collaborate on a project to enhance the exterior of our building with the EDI (Education Development Institute) logo or related art. This project aims to transform the standard appearance of our building, which is prominently visible from a main public street, and reflect the vibrant energy inspired by our center’s new mission.

 Tasks:

– Conceptualize and design exterior art pieces that incorporate the EDI logo or related themes.

– Develop sketches, mock-ups, and final designs for approval.

– Assist in the planning and execution of the art installation on the building’s exterior.

– Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the project meets aesthetic, safety, and budgetary requirements.

 Skills Required:

– Strong artistic and design skills with a portfolio demonstrating creativity and previous work (if available).

– Knowledge of various art mediums and installation techniques.

– Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.

– Ability to take initiative and work independently on tasks.

– Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.

– Passion for art and community engagement.
