This course will help students turn their inspirations into designs. They will learn drafting, shading, how to illustrate shape and form using several mediums, and more. By the end of the course, students should have a full practical and theoretical understanding of the new techniques required to do hand rendering for jewelry. This course will teach different types of materials that can be used to develop your own style and techniques for jewelry rendering. In addition, they should now have acquired better research and development skills and be able to express their ideas and thoughts creatively on paper.

• Introduction to Rendering
• Introduction to Material
• Learning Line Control through pencils
Class 2
• Learning Line Control through brushes
• Shading Shapes with these pencils and brushes
Class 3
• Introduction to metal rendering silver
• Introduction to light source
• Flat surfaces and dome surfaces
• Render a chain
Class 4
• Introduction to metal rendering gold
• Flat surfaces and dome surfaces
• Render a chain
Class 5
• Introduction to stones
• Colorless Cabochon
• Colored Cabochon
• Light source in Cabochon
Class 6
• Introduction to faceted stones
• Faceted Stones (Colorless)
• Faceted Stones Colored
• Light source in Faceted Stones
Class 7
• Replicate a picture of a gemstone
Class 8
• Replicate a picture of a small jewelry piece.
