As part of the Library Events & Workshop Series Spring 2019, the VCUarts Qatar Libraries presents,

What: Getting Your Feet Wet with Open Educational Resources (OERs)

When: January 22nd from 3:30-4:30pm

Where: Library Conference Room, 106i

This presentation will focus on introducing faculty and staff to OERs and free digital resources. Participants will learn how to: 

  • Search and locate relevant materials related to art and design quickly
  • How to organize materials
  • How to self publish OERs
  • Best practices for authoring OERs with students as pedagogical practice. 
  • Brief introduction to copyright and licensing

Presented via Zoom by Thomas Woodward, Associate Director of Innovation at the Academic Learning Transformation Lab (ALTLab), Hillary Miller, Scholarly Communications Librarian at Cabell Library, and the VCUarts Qatar Library.
