Futures of Collectivity: Collaborative Practices in the Making

This session brings together eleven research labs from VCUarts Qatar working across art, design, technology, material experimentation, and cultural research to present their ongoing inquiries through a PechaKucha format. Led by faculty, students, and alumni, the presentations foreground the research lab as a collaborative structure through which creative practice, interdisciplinary exchange, and collective experimentation generate new forms of inquiry, exchange, and engagement. Across diverse approaches and subject areas, the session highlights how research labs function as spaces for experimentation, mentorship, shared authorship, and situated forms of cultural and material inquiry responsive to rapidly shifting social, technological, and institutional conditions.
