Bachelor’s Degree Programs

VCUarts Qatar offers five undergraduate (bachelor’s) degree programs: four Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), and one Bachelor of Arts (BA).

Students applying for a BFA must first undertake the one-year Art Foundation program. After the first year, students move into their intended area of study. VCUarts Qatar’s Art Foundation is an intensive one-year mandatory program intended for students who wish to pursue one of our Bachelor of Fine Arts programs, which last three years. The program aspires to instill creativity and innovation through a variety of projects and lectures, alongside the training of skill and craftsmanship. BA in Art History students do not take the Art Foundation program.

Students who graduate from VCUarts Qatar will earn a degree issued directly by Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) located in Richmond, Virginia, USA.
