VCUarts Qatar To Offer Human-Centered Design Workshops with Global Design Innovator Peter Gould

Community and Continuing Education (CCE) at Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Qatar (VCUarts Qatar) will host two Heart-Centered Design Thinking workshops in November, led by internationally acclaimed designer, educator, and author Peter Gould. The first workshop is tailored for emerging young creatives and designers, and the other is designed for educators in the creative sector.

Peter Gould is renowned for pioneering heart-centered design leadership. For over 20 years he has advised clients from product teams at Apple and Google to emerging startup founders.

His popular online programs and recent bestselling book, The Heart of Design, helps align spiritual aspirations and strategic design principles. This unique approach has impacted thousands of professionals and hundreds of teams on their path to living and designing for remembrance, in an age of ‘design for distraction’.

Whether participants are emerging designers refining their career pathways or educators shaping future learning environments, the workshops offer real-world case studies and practical activities that showcase the importance of purposeful alignment, an increasingly vital skill in a fast-paced and distraction-heavy world. 

This series is a particularly valuable opportunity for those exploring how professional and personal growth complement each other. The workshops introduce Gould’s signature mindset that blends strategic thinking with emotional, spiritual, and human-centered clarity.

The first workshop, targeted to aspiring and early-career creatives, titled, Heart-Centered Design Thinking for Emerging Creative Professionals, will take place on Saturday, 29 November, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the VCUarts Qatar Atrium.

The second workshop, tailored for educators, academic leaders, and creative facilitators, titled, Heart-Centered Design Thinking for Educational Professionals, will be held on Sunday, 30 November, 2025, from 12:30–2:30 pm also at the VCUarts Qatar Atrium.
