BFA+MFA Thesis 2024

Impersona is a platform designed to foster a community of Cosplayers in Qatar. Cosplay is an activity and form of self expression where one dresses up to impersonate a fictional character from various genres such as comics, animation and films.  Even though cosplay is expanding in Qatar, there are limited resources and venues available to the local community and little outreach on events and activities. Impersona is an app that presents resources and tools for cosplaying, connecting and celebrating this unique activity in the local context.  Together with the app, a biannual magazine is designed to collect highlights from the community, and resources to DIY prompts for costumes.
