“Design Your Home” course would walk participants through planning rooms and furniture layouts, creating mood boards and color schemes, and selecting furniture and finishes for their own homes to best suit their taste and needs.
Please note: VCUQatar reserves the right to cancel classes for which not enough participants are registered. Already paid fees will be refunded.
Please do not purchase materials until VCUQatar has sent final course confirmation.
Participants are to bring their home plans or at least the plan or measurements of one of the rooms in their home that they would like to design.
On occasion, additional materials may need to be purchased and brought in if advised by the instructor.

Nada Hamad – Interior Designer/Entrepreneur
Graduating from the renowned Virginia Commonwealth University, school of the arts in Qatar in 2009 with a fine art degree in interior design; Nada ventured into the world of high-end commercial and hospitality fit out design and project management. Working on projects like The Gate mall, The Shangri-la Hotel among others in Doha; she cultivated a great experience in how a design concept develops and comes to life on site.
With this experience under her belt, she started a freelance design business 9 years ago under the name, Nada’s Interiors. She works on residential as well as commercial projects and has taken on some VVIP clients. She provides a unique full design service where she does not only design the space but also hand picks everything down to the smallest accessories thanks to her network of contacts worldwide where she can produce/source most of those curated pieces.
With a diverse background herself- A Palestinian Jordanian who was born in Doha and is married to an Egyptian gentleman- She is drawn to ethically influenced interiors, her own home is very eclectic in terms of design style. She is also very much drawn towards transitional interiors mixing classical and modern forms in contemporary setting.
