Biography

Erika is an artist and producer with an extensive background in media arts.

She joined the VCUarts Qatar Library’s Innovative Media Studios in 2021. 

Prior to joining VCUarts Qatar, she taught Film and New Media at Rowan University in New Jersey.

Erika has been an active member of the creative community at VCUQatar and in the region, recently joining as research collaborator in the Superreflex Lab in the Institute of Creative Research at VCUQ. 

Her work has been exhibited as part of the Campus Exhibit at Ars Electronica and she has performed at GubGub Studios, Mutek Festival in Dubai, Sound Kitchen Sharjah, as well as several of VCU’s own Taseem Conferences. 

Her research interests are in immersive media, fulldome, sound, and music. 

Her fulldome film has been part of several international fulldome film festivals including Doha Film Festival, Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation, and Technology, and Fulldome UK.
