High School Summer Art & Design Program 2026

The Summer Art & Design Program for High school students is an intensive three-week program with an optional week of portfolio development classes. It is designed to empower participants to shape their educational journey by offering an introduction to various majors and allowing them to delve deeply into a chosen discipline. 

The course commences with an overview of four of the undergraduate degree programs offered at VCUarts Qatar. Participants have the opportunity to select from a range of majors: Graphic Design, Interior Design, Painting and Printmaking, and Kinetic Imaging which they will study in-depth. 

For those seeking to submit portfolios as part of university applications in art and design, optional portfolio development classes are available. These classes aim to prepare prospective students for the application process of art and design universities.  

Program Timeline

Week 1: Foundation & Creative Explorations (Mandatory)

• July 12 – 16, 2026

Weeks 2 & 3: Program Majors (Mandatory)

• July 19 – 30, 2026
• Participants will choose one major from four available options.

Week 4: Portfolio Development – Documentation, Reflection, and Portfolio Assembly (Optional)

• August 2 – 6, 2026

Program Fees

• 3,500 QAR – Includes Optional Portfolio Development Week
• 3,000 QAR – Excludes Optional Portfolio Development Week
