Do you like stories? Do you want to learn how to write and illustrate an enjoyable story for children? You just need a pen, two sheets of paper, and a lot of imagination.
Students will be given an introduction about the history of children’s stories throughout different times and will hear how individual artists have illustrated the same story in different ways and about the profession of story writer and illustrator in general.
Please note: VCUQatar reserves the right to cancel classes for which not enough participants are registered. Already paid fees will be refunded.
Please do not purchase materials until VCUQatar has sent final course confirmation.
Participants are required to buy there materials and bring them for every class
On occasions, there may be some more materials to be bought and brought in if and when advised by the instructor.

Reem Al Askari
Reem is a Palestinian children’s stories illustrator. She has lived and worked in Doha for almost ten years. She received a bachelor degree in Fine Arts from Damascus University, Syria and has regularly participated in group exhibitions in several Arab countries. She has illustrated nearly 40 story books and has conducted many workshops for children in Qatar and in different other Arab countries. She has received several prizes for some of her books.
