In this course students will study additive and subtractive principles of color theory and learn about color mixing, color relationships, and visual impact. Students will develop sensitivity for hue, value, intensity, proportion and placement of color in a composition and learn skills in designing with color.

Maya Ismail
Maya Ismail is a Lebanese/Colombian and holds a BA in Arts and Graphic Design. She is a hands-on, experienced art teacher, guiding students in various arts as well as developing their creativity. She designs and creates active lessons engaging learners to reach their fullest potential of creative production.
Ismail develops concepts and artwork, creating graphic design solutions from concept through to completion. She is responsible for developing and creating both digital and print designs for a wide range of print, publications, and advertising. “Multi-culture is my passion; traveling and discovering art in history books inspires my work.”
