Interactive Getaway Promoting Inclusivity for Autistic Adolescents in Qatar
Interior design
As a designer, I embrace creativity and the aesthetic aspects of design, viewing challenges as opportunities for growth. Working with diverse clients enriches my journey, guiding me to deliver thoughtful designs. My love for simplicity and minimalism shapes my approach, inspired by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s principle of “less is more”.
One fulfilling experience has been creating spaces with a single-color palette, expanding my design skills. Addressing neglected needs, such as the lack of spaces for autistic individuals in Qatar, is a cause close to my heart.
My thesis space envisions an autism retreat and community hub, inspired by the ocean’s tranquility and coral reefs’ nurturing essence. Prioritizing minimalism and sensory considerations, the design features sensitive lighting and calming aesthetics, aiming to provide a haven for autistic teenagers and their families. Through thoughtful design, I aim to nurture a sense of belonging and well-being for all.
