About this class

In this course, participants learn fundamentals of digital editing and study video editing theory and techniques.

To gain experience, short film footage (provided by the lecturer) will be edited in class with editing software used by professional editors in film production and by broadcasting companies. Participants will learn the art of editing, theoretical concepts of editing, and how to apply those theories practically.

While this class is taught in Arabic, English Speakers are welcome, too.

Ibrahem Saber

Ibrahem Saber holds a High Diploma in Television Production and is a graduate of the Dutch Academy for Media and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation for Arts of Television Production.

He holds a degree in media coverage of the hostile environment from the British SAS.

Saber worked for Abu Dhabi TV, Al Jazeera News, and the Associated Press News Agency, in addition to being a Production Manager for the Middle East and Norwegian television. He also has worked as a coach in the Qatar News Agency and supervised the printing of a book called Social Media and its Impact on Public Opinion.
