Encouraging your Child’s Creativity at Home

About this class

In these sessions, participants will explore art ideas, exercises, and the benefits of providing creative and exploratory opportunities for children of all ages in the home. 

Using only basic stationery, kitchen resources and items from around the home, the instructor will guide participants on how to make drawing, collage, sculpture, painting and printing be a fun part of a child’s day.

On occasions, there may be some more materials to be bought and brought in if and when advised by the instructor.

Bridget Dunn
Lecturer

Bridget Dunn is an art teacher and illustrator who is originally from New Zealand.

Her specialty is art education for younger children and she is passionate about promoting art in the community.

Bridget majored in art at Canterbury University in Christchurch and trained as a primary teacher.

Prior to moving to the Middle East, she taught for 10 years in London preparatory schools and lectured art at a teacher’s college. Bridget had three more years teaching in Bahrain before moving to Qatar where she spent eight years teaching art and design in schools and with VCUarts Qatar in community education. 

Now on another adventure in the Middle East, she is excited to share her ideas and expertise online.
