Hagar Farag Ataallah is an interior designer, workspace strategist, and educator with a strong foundation in interior design from VCUarts Qatar. She also holds a Master’s in Advanced Architecture from the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC), where she pursued research in AI in architecture. Her work involved developing a Machine Learning model to enhance the environmental performance of existing buildings through the generative design of second-skin facades, utilizing environmental analysis and computational design. As an Interior Design Manager at Clements Interiors in Qatar, Hagar led the design and construction of over 20 commercial projects over four years. Her research interests include blending manual and digital techniques, exploring biomimicry in design, and translating theoretical concepts into practical applications. Currently, she is an adjunct professor, committed to mentoring the next generation of designers and exploring the intersection of design, technology, and spatial innovation.
